Our Story

Hi! My name is Mike Shrout. I started recording using ProTools when I was 16 (I’m 38 now).

With a Grandfather that wrote country music for Alabama with 10 number one hits and countless charted songs…

An Uncle that was not only an audio engineer but also played drums with Motley Crew, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Loaded Dice, and hung out and rocked with Dimebag Darrel, Vinnie Paul and Wayne Static!

and…

A Mother that loved to play and write music throughout my childhood…

I guess you can say I didn’t have a choice, it’s in the blood!

My passion for music has driven me to invest and spend years perfecting my craft and start Joint Venture Studios.  I started Joint Venture Studios in 2009 and have been word of mouth in the Atlanta area since then.

I am taking the next step in expanding my business and brand and becoming more accessible to everyone.  As a songwriter myself I know how personal music is to the artist.

I treat every project as if it was my own art, and do everything possible to deliver what the artist wants, and get the sound they have in their head to translate out of the speakers.

My whole adult life has been based around serving others.  This is no different to me.  I’m not happy unless you are totally satisfied.  Thanks for lending me your ears and I hope to have the opportunity to show you what I can do for your music.  Cheers!

I attended college at Lee University School of Music in TN.  I left before graduating and joined the Marine Corps on 9/12/2001 (the day after 9/11).     I participated in multiple combat tours and then got out and became a firefighter.  I love helping people and have been a firefighter since 2007.
